Terms & Conditions

Short, plain-language rules for using PlayTicTac. Last updated: August 30, 2026.

Acceptance of terms

By using PlayTicTac you agree to these terms. They’re written in plain language on purpose: the site is free, simple, and so are the rules for using it. If you don’t agree with any part of these terms, please don’t use the site.

The service

PlayTicTac is a free, browser-based Tic Tac Toe game with no accounts, no downloads, and no payments. We work to keep the game available and working, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available” — we can’t guarantee it will never be interrupted, and we’re not liable if it is.

Acceptable use

Use the site for its purpose: playing Tic Tac Toe and learning the game. Don’t try to break it, overload it, scrape it, or interfere with other players. Don’t use it to distribute harmful content or impersonate anyone. Keep it a nice place to play.

Online play

Online rooms connect two browsers directly over the internet. Room codes are the only credential — anyone with your code can join, so only share codes with people you intend to play with. We don’t monitor, moderate, or store game sessions; conversations and play happen entirely between the two players.

Intellectual property

The site, its name, design, and content are ours. You’re welcome to play, share a link, or tell people about PlayTicTac — that’s why it exists. Don’t copy the site wholesale or reuse its branding in a way that suggests it’s yours.

No warranties

The game is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We believe it works well — that’s the point — but you use it at your own discretion. In particular, online play depends on network conditions, browser support, and a third-party signaling service, none of which we control.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlayTicTac is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site. A free game shouldn’t carry heavy legal baggage — if something breaks, tell us about it, and we’ll try to fix it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
